when me and chelsy go to china...

today (saturday) chelsy and i woke up and decided to be spontaneous! We caught a ride to the metro station and hopped on the train to Chinatown! It was such an adventure, and we had so much fun just walking around and taking pictures (i only included a few) and eating great food and the best smoothies we have ever tasted, and we even bought two pet turtles! gah!

Friday night was our first dance at APU, unfortunately this year happened to be the first year that it has ever sold out, and i happened to be the first person to NOT be able to get tickets. That sucked, but me and my date, Mark, and my other friends Katie and Nick who didnt get tickets either had way more fun than anybody :) we still got dressed up and went out to dinner with everybody, then simply thought of LA as our "playground" for the night :)

we went and got cheesecake at the cheesecake factory, had quite a funny experience with the valet, had a hilarious waitress, ate the most incredible cheesecake i have ever eaten in my life, drove through the middle of nowhere with the help of Nicole (the GPS), thought about going to a movie but went ice skating instead! By the time we were finished ice skating, it was time to meet up with our friends again and the night is still young!

paint war!!!!!

for my alpha group's very last meeting on tuesday, we had a paint war, one of many that happen periodically here at APU :) it was so much fun, we love alpha!!

sarah and allie came to visit!

sarah and allie rode the train and the metrolink from santa barbara to azusa on friday to visit me for the weekend! they stayed until sunday and left around noon, but while they were here it was so fun! i loved seeing them and having them here to sleep with me since chelsy was gone so i would've been all alone in my room! :( i love you girls, thank you for cominggg!

monrovia and hollywood!

on friday night i went to the street walk with my friends becca and ashlee and their RA, its like a huge farmers market that happens every friday! we got many free samples and christmas shopping ideas :) LOVED it!



saturday night i think 15 of us got dressed up and went out to dinner in hollywood, and then about 8 of us went and saw Wicked at the pantages theater :) and it was absolutely amazing of course!

its october!

chelsy and i have begun getting into the october spirit and have already decorated the outside of our dorm room door with halloween beauty. we purchased everything at the 99cent store, where everything is ACTUALLY only 99cents! its our new favorite place.

we had so much web that we just had to keep going, and decorated the cubby hole in the wall across from our room...

... and we still had so much left over that we decorated the 3rd west bathroom!

i also made some additions to my room, including new blue sheets and wall things that i made. its a little happier looking :) and its still a work in progress!

when friends come visit...

yesterday trevor dow, trevor johnson, kendra partch, and chito elias came and visited katie, becca, shannon and i!! we only knew the 2 trevors were coming, so kendra and chito were a WONDERFUL surprise :) we showed them around campus and hung out for a while, then they all went out to dinner but i couldnt go because i had class :( we made a midnight run to donut man, and they left a few hours later. it was so fun to see them tho, we LOVE visitors!

our san diego excursion

for our first saturday on campus, 5 of my friends and i drove down to san diego to support our football team in their game against USD! it was our first little road trip of the year, first of many im sure :) we made it smoothly to the campus, thanks to mapquest and Laura's excellent driving, and we met up with 2 more APU friends at the game, and my friend Mac and his friend Justin met us there too! our team lost kinda badly... :( but it was still fun. after the game we drove to downtown san diego to get pinkberry, which took us probably 2 hours to get there, but when we did, it was ALL worth it! we didnt get back to school until 1:30am... but we slept a little on the way home.

the day of my birth

i guess since its 1:30am right now, its technically not my birthday anymore, but while it lasted it was one of my favorite days here so far! as soon as i went to breakfast people were wishing me happy birthday, and i went to BJs for lunch with some of the girls for a special little outing together :)
and when i came back my room was full of balloons and streamers...


and then i went with my alpha group to take a little tour of the classrooms and figure out where our classes are going to be so we wont get lost on wednesday... then went with my alpha group to have dinner at a faculty member's house which was very fun. she made mexican food and a special dessert for my birthday that she called "crap in a pan" and they sang to me and it was very nice! then we came back and at 9 we had an all-hall meeting, so everybody from adams hall met in one room, which is a whole lot of girls, and they covered some ground rules and different things, then our wing (3rd west woooo!) had a meeting in our own little lounge where we met the other girls living in our wing and then they brought out a huge cake and sang to me :) and everybody had cake and ice cream and sat around and talked for another hour or so :) and since tonight was the premier of gossip girl, and since we missed it when it came on live earlier, we set it up on a computer in the lounge and some of us watched it together

these first 3 days...

So far, its been absolutely amazing here. I love APU, the people here are SO nice and friendly and just fun to be with, i am making soooo many new friends and im having the BEST time with my roommate chelsy! we've been hanging out all day everyday so far :) and i love my dorm hall, i love the campus, the people, the staff, i just love it here! We have been so so busy, i havent had a chance to be on my computer much besides when i come back to my room at 2am to go to sleep!thats my roommate chelsy, shes from minnesota and has an accent :) its cute.


my family at the football game last night... i had to say goodbye to my parents and sisters today which was really hard, but immediately afterwards i was running around in the hose and sliding down the slip'n'slide with hundreds of other freshmen! they keep us busy and excited.
after dinner we watched the Good Times Skits performed by the upperclassmen... and i took a video of one of them just so you could get a little taste of the atmostphere here :) but it wont upload onto here :( so ill try again later.

and tomorrow ill take pictures of my dorm room to show you! its so cute!
